'Supermoon' HDR 1

Tonight was the "Supermoon" event, the first in the past 18 years in which the Moon is it's closest to the Earth it's been since.

The moon was within about 356,577 km of Earth, making it appear 14% bigger and nearly 30% brighter than your average full moon.

While I do not have any shots to give away its apparent larger size, it did give me an opportunity to capture it in much better detail than I have previously.

This image here is comprised of 30 images. While the HDR is not overly apparent in this photo, it did help in providing better shadow and highlight detail than a single photo could with my camera.
