Lightning - 070412

Not only was this my first real shot using my new Nikon D300, it's also the first lightning shot taken by the camera. However, it was not the first storm that the camera has seen; I was not able to take any photos during previous chases.

Keep in mind I've only had the camera for about two weeks as of this photo.

Taken overlooking Moon Township, PA. The National Weather Service station is the near the right of the rightmost lightning strike (you can see the radar).

There's a little movement seen in the image because right as I went to take the image, lightning struck, showing the camera shake from pressing the shutter button. The lightning on the left is clear as it struck a few seconds later.
