Lightning - 050610 - 2 by GTX-Media Lightning - 050610 - 2 by GTX-Media
Lightning overlooking the Pittsburgh International Airport. Sadly, this lightning was a good distance away (10+ miles), so I had to crop into the full sized image to focus on the lightning, thus the quality is rather low. However, I figured that, while the quality overall is low, the beauty of this shot is worthy of DA.

It was! I think 6 of my lightning photos were from this storm alone :D

How long did the storm last and where was it?

My description states where it's at. I know it lasted several hours, but typically most lightning storms I don't stay around for more than an hour. That's about how long it takes for the storm to reach me and produce rain, in which case, I can't get any really good shots.

great shot!
I wonder, how much time you had to wait to catch something like that during a storm?

Normally if I can get ahead of a storm quickly enough I can get at least one shot within 15 minutes.
